Horror Roleplay Ideas.

Plot
I've basically got three ideas in mind for a plot:- Unexplained Phenomena
One of our characters has just moved into a new house. It had been vacant for many years and needs a good deal of maintenance to repair, so they got it for a really good deal. However, after moving in strange things began occurring. Noises coming from nowhere, doors closing by themselves, pots falling from the rack. All of which unnerving the character to the point of calling their friends to come stay with them. They do, and after which things only seemingly get worse.
Now we can spin a lot of variation from this. The general premise I was going for was something like Paranormal Activity, but we could just as easily go another route. Maybe someone inherited a spooky family mansion? Maybe it's not a house or a mansion, but a cabin in the woods? I'm open to all possibilities. The core theme behind this idea is a haunting of some kind, most of the rest can be molded around any setting.
- Deadly Changes
Over the past few month there have been a string of animal mutilations. Authorities are saying it's most likely a bear and are cautioning everyone to be wary at night. Our characters are college students home for Summer Break. There's a party in the woods near the river and they all attend, making the most of their freedom before having to return to class. During this little excursion one of our character breaks off from the others, heading into the forest for whatever reason. When they do, they are attacked! They survive the encounter, but afterwards begin noticing things about themselves and others they've never seen before.
So yeah, this is a werewolf RP. I've actually done this one before and really enjoyed it. Typically it's set either in the Pacific Northwest or somewhere in the South. Usually, the GM makes the players roll during the party/outing/reason they're in the woods. Whoever rolls closest to the number chosen by the GM is the one who is bitten. Now I've seen times where no one wanted to be bitten and decided to just search for the werewolf without anyone being one. I've also seen where everyone just agreed to let one person be it without rolling. Now I prefer the rolling method myself because it adds a bit of fear to the game. We can of course discuss this if we choose this plot.
- The Truth is Out There
Strange lights in the sky were reported over a small town. People phoned in various reports to local law enforcement, tying up the lines completely. A couple of researchers from a nearby monitoring station have been dispatched to collect data and testimonies of the people of the town. Their goal, the verify if this was truly an explainable event or a hoax. The people of the town are suspicious of outsiders though, and around every corner it seems as if something is being hidden just out of sight. As tensions mount a simple search for answers becomes a fight for life itself.
This plot I think is a bit more introspective and mature. It deals with a lot more mystery and inner turmoil than anything else. The general theme for this would be the bounds of madness effecting those touched by the unbelievable. Even when someone is willing to listen to you it's either to make fun or gawk. Some players would be the researchers and others citizens of the town. Their stances on if this was real or not can vary, and we will focus on them coming to terms with the events as they continue.

Anywho, I came up with these while trying to think of some things for my initial idea.
The plot is 100% unknown, as I have no ideas for it yet at all. The setting is a lighthouse. The settled fog over the place completely conceals all coloration. The light atop the lighthouse is blindingly bright; the "monster" doesn't like bright lights, but it likes foggy areas, so it's pretty much stuck avoiding the light as much as possible, generally because it doesn't like being seen. As for the monster, I have no idea what it could look like as of right now, or as to how we (protagonists) have gotten to this cursed lighthouse. The lighthouse is approximately 208ft. -
For the lighthouse monster, I've finally found something I like.
When it catches you, it traps you within the folds of flesh on its arms, regardless of your size, squishing you down to fit or potentially consuming you if you're too large. It keeps you there until it gets hungry, but by that point you'd have already drowned within its blood. When it captures you, however, to close the folds it will lock its hands together and cover its "mouth" from the outside, leaving you with enough room to be touching its teeth and "tongue" (organ?). The skin flaps are pretty durable for the most part, but have a weakness to sharp or heated objects.
-
It's been decided to have great hearing; as for how you got there, mostly unknown, you awaken stranded on a boat with few others, unsure of how you got there.
-
The island will have naturally provided resources such as journals, notes, and maybe a guidebook as to how to make some tools or, fortunately, a map.
-
How about- just a normal day, but make everything seem off. Then, kill everyone slowly one by one until someone catches onto it. The closer they are to finding out, the closer they are to being killed.

I have a new idea, I didn't really think too much about this one yet. It's pretty similar to the lighthouse one. The setting is different, however. You're stranded out in a huge forest, so finding the escape route will be immensely difficult. The forest is snowy, possibly still snowing. At times there may or may not have blizzards taking place. You and the select group of people have no idea how you got there. There happens to be a frozen-over lake with a fishing hole already made. Originally the ice seemed sturdy, but you still need to be VERY careful. There's, fortunately, an old cabin you can use for shelter. There is no fire set or materials to set a fire. However, you can find the necessary resources while exploring the frozen forest. The average temperature of the forest is -30°C (-22°F). It occasionally gets cold enough to kill you. Considering it already is. Until all of the materials can be found to build the fire, you need to huddle for warmth. But somehow, you all get the feeling you're not alone in the vast forest. Regardless of how scared one may be, someone needs to get food, find materials, and defend against possible threats while anybody else remains behind or assists others. Suddenly, one of you hears a bloodcurdling screech coming from deeper inside the forest. There are a number of possibilities as to what it could be, and not many of them are pleasant. One is out acquiring food, being the predator. Oneself being predator encounters the creature, shifting oneself from being predator to prey. All you need to hope for is you make the right decision of many possible choices. Face the beast one-on-one and get absolutely murked and murdered, call for help and hope that doing such wont trigger the beast, immediately run and possibly become the mouse in a game of cat-and-mouse, or slowly back away without turning your back on it under the assumption it's an ambush predator. Do you live? Do you die? Only your luck will tell. Try for a spin-wheel to see your actions and outcomes in this roleplay.
