Sad realization

When people make vent posts like this, they know that itโs just because their parents were raised to think that way. In telling them that, you might as well be trying to justify that personโs parents behavior and that they shouldnโt be โtoo upset about itโ just because the parent is who they are. You may not think youโre being harmful, but please watch what you do and say. You are not helping.
@Adam Rabbit -
Iโd be pretty upset at you myself if you tried to justify my dadโs behavior towards me. So, respectfully, try avoid doing it to this individual.
-
@zack Iโm just saying it the way it is
-
@Adam doesnโt mean itโs a nice thing to say though
this was under โasking for supportโ not โasking for mean truths I already knewโ -
Iโm sorry that Iโm so fucking blunt the way in the way I talk, and I do support them, I truly do, because I know how they feel, my parents are the same fucking way
-
It isnโt necessarily the parents fault theyโre not open-minded, and it is mostly because they grew up in a generation where this shit wasnโt cool. Nevertheless, though, if they canโt change and you donโt want to either, you donโt need to waste your time talking them through it or wasting your time dealing with shitty parents that put their children through emotional harm just because they donโt particularly agree with such and such. Waiting may be difficult, but one day youโll be an adult, you can move out, get your own new life and push them out of it and cut them off like puppet strings.
-
@zack iโm not cutting them off unless i reallyn need to
-
@whatswrongwith-carrie Your choice, not mine. Even so, youโll realize how necessary it is to cut out emotional harm from your life, even if you donโt really get that now.
