The Hogyoku (meaning “Crumbling Orb”, Viz meaning “Breakdown Sphere”) is a small, bluish-purple orb composed of a unique substance thought to be capable of dissolving the boundaries between Soul Reapers and Hollows, allowing one race to attain the powers of the other.
