Not to defend him, but just to defend men in general lol;
I think for a lot of guys it’s pretty rare for someone to actually say they like them, and so it can be hard to decline an opportunity when someone does end up liking them, even if they know the relationship wouldn’t last. Honestly, I could almost see myself doing this or something like it just because I didn’t realize that it would be an issue yknow? Maybe its stereotyping to say, but I think most guys in this situation wouldn’t mean any harm.
