Kenji more on the indie/folk side of music–I highly recommend checking them out!

Kenji It’s definitely hard to move on from, but I’ve gone no-contact with her, and it’s been really good, since she lives in an adjacent town.
I just think it’s super important to find connections to music somehow like that, even if it’s painful–that’s why songs like Feed Us Your Girls by Lydia the Bard and Liquid Smooth by Mitski are some that I really like. Although to be fair, I just like a lot of Mitski’s stuff-

Ptolemaea -- Ethel Cain (My thoughts) (sa mentioned if you read far enough)posted in Videos
There’s something so violently visceral about the 3:37 mark–the repeating of the word ‘stop’ is so moving–there’s a story behind this album, but even if you take it out of the context of the album (see below), the blood-curdling scream is so moving, and it really resonates with me in a cathartic way that’s just absolutely chilling to me. Sooo…yah. If you want the extra context, check the TW-?

As many of you know, I was sexually assaulted on May 25, 2025. I was taken advantage of by someone I thought was my friend, and she was not. I think the 3:37 mark is what was running through my head when it happened. I wanted to cry, scream, push her off, but I couldn’t. And I think that part just really sits heavily with me, because the sound of the desperation could be interpreted as someone trying to get someone to stop a situation like that.
