I found my career
-
I wanna go into criminal justice because somebody’s gotta feel bad for the bad guy
-
Also the bad guys not always bad
-
once you’ve feel the same feelings they felt, their not so bad anymore
interrogating people sounds so fun : > -
@FinnyWinny That’s really interesting because I’ve wanted to be a lawyer for this reason : ) I’ve always felt pretty passionately about defending people who can’t defend themselves, helping those who need it, and bringing peace of mind to everyone, even the bad guys. You’re right, not everyone’s bad. Everyone needs a chance
-
@Duchess : ]
-
System in the US is shit honestly and I don’t think anybody should be sentenced to life there
-
@FinnyWinny in prison, the food served is labeled “Not safe for human consumption”
-
@FinnyWinny I agree. Prisons are built to break someone down. They basically reconstruct you so you can understand how to live in the world again. It may be a prison, but it’s a place to help you re-see the world. To help you understand what it is to be a citizen : )
-
The rehabilitation system and programs in the US aren’t it @Duchess
-
@FinnyWinny As in they’re bad?
-
The idea isn’t bad the output is @Duchess
-
Just because you break the law doesn’t take away your right from humanity
-
@FinnyWinny Well, criminals tend to have a distorted moral compass or a weak drive to do the right thing. Not in all cases, but if you’re going in for hard crimes, maybe that’s true. I believe in treating criminals like humans is just the right thing to do : ) They have lives too, and I agree. But they need help more than anything, and that’s why criminals go to therapy and stuff in prison.
-
But what I’m saying is the therapy in prisons is trash @Duchess
-
@FinnyWinny Probably. Hm, maybe I should be a therapist for a prison xD
-
That would be really cool @Duchess
