Respect
A goal some people have in life is to have respect from the people around them. I mean, it’s a good feeling. People don’t hurt you or get angry about your opinion, people pay attention to you… But that’s not just the life of a celebrity or star. That could be the potential to anyone’s life. But how do you gain respect? Well, it’s certainly not by plotting a revenge scheme against your ex-bestie, or calling your teacher names behind (or in front of) their back. You gain respect by having generosity in your heart. People tend to respect those who respect others. So don’t kick back in your gaming chair expecting the world to respect you. That’s something you have to work for.You can respect others by engaging in what they’re sharing with you. Don’t go on your phone, or roll your eyes. What’s more important than living in the moment? It’s today’s moments that you cannot exchange for another. Respecting someone is simply letting someone know that they’re worth your time and effort. Whether that’s doing something simply by focusing on the person you’re speaking with, or going out of your way with a generous deed.
Self respect is just as important as giving respect. You give yourself respect by knowing your wants, needs, and desires, and making sure you meet those goals. You want to take a personal day and relax? Set aside those big responsibilities you put on yourself and take some time to refresh, recharge, and remind yourself how much you are worth. Self respect isn’t commonly practiced, but I’ll guarantee you that it’s the greatest thing you can do for yourself.

if they have no respect you, no need to respect them :)

Knox Well life’s not about eye for an eye.
-
@Duchess I get that but I do not want to become friends with my enemy’s
-
Knox Well you don’t have to be friends with someone to respect their existence : ) Being respectful goes beyond being besties or whatnot. You don’t have to like your substitute teacher to give respect, nor do you have to like your parents to give them respect. In someone else’s shoes, we can all be nasty too. So if nobody respected you because of that, it would feel a lot different.
