A meteor shower was occurring, a downpour of bright lights above. The Vaumora watched from their safe den, unsure of what was to happen. They had never witnessed lights falling from the sky like this. Overtaken by their foolish curiosity, they stepped outside for a better view.
They majestically flapped their wings, taking off into the skies, and leaving a trail of electric sparks in their wake. Their large curved horns gleamed in the moonlight. After arriving at the peak of the highest mountain, they were satisfied for the view they had.
They have made a horrible mistake. They do not know it yet, but they will realize in a few moments.
And that’s when they were struck by a blinding light.
A burning agony engulfed them as their horns melted together into one. Four wings painfully burst out of their skull. They opened their mouth to scream, and yet nothing could come out. As they made their pitiful attempt to cry out for help, a mask forcefully welded itself to their face. Their wings melted and formed two more legs. Moments later, their wings began to grow back, a different shape than before, with long curling tendrils. Every spark of electricity in their entire body was drained out of their body, becoming a bright glimmering halo atop their head. Their chest burned, as their heart was incinerated, being replaced by the core of the star they were struck by.
Their transformation was complete. They opened their three eyes, and knew exactly what they needed to do.

Wielding the element of electricity within its body, the Vaumora is a mid-sized well-rounded scavenger carnivore creature. Its pearlescent feathers and fur behave as a conductor for static electricity, and its internal organs are saturated with a powerful current, enabling it to deal fearsome elemental damage!
The Vaumora is a wyvern-like creature similar to some clades of prehistoric birds, wielding various patches of white fur and feathers. Its wings are partially webbed, while retaining flight feathers, along with several more webs between its limbs. Its head adorns large sickle-shaped horns, and its throat seems to have open-air “nostrils” where you can see its bare flesh. Its tail is spiny and thin, with spikes protruding from it. Throughout its body, it has a general consistency of black and white colorings, yet its webbing and bare flesh are blue-violet in hue. Its eyes and markings on its face and chest glow and actively pulse. The Vaumora also has glowing lightning particles on its horns, chest, and tail. -
and for context, it legitimately morphed into a different creature with an automatically set “goal”

it morphed into an aereis, which i can also explain if you want
