-K10K1- Kind of rebellious lol. But I really think your mom made a big deal. Listening to music is just something people do, and even if it’s annoying to not be heard to first time, it’s not like you were doing anything tremendously wrong. I usually have just one earbud in just in case I hear something I got to take care of. It’s something I just gotten used to at this point lol.

Not far fetched at all. Some parents get bitter about their kids having luxuries they didn’t quite have full access to as a kid. Also parents sometimes get bitter about parenting since they have more responsibilities and so they want their kids to have some too so things are more “even.”
