@Calistaa That’s ridiculous no matter how you look at it lol. Is your dad controling?
-
@Duchess He’s a self-absorbed alcoholic
-
That always either thinks he’s the shit or that he’s a terrible person and hates himself
-
@Calistaa lol
-
@Calistaa Mm… That’s a bad mix. Yknow what else absorbes? His liver for that alcohol lol
-
@Calistaa Wait, what? I’m kind of intrigued. He flip flops from hating himself or he’s so great?
-
@Duchess Well he drinks so much that it’s deteriorating his shoulder muscles so much that every day I get asked to put aspercreme on his back 3 times a day
He also occasionally ends up getting sick from it and having to sit in the tub and drink ginger ale all day.
Might I add that his sleep schedule has been fucked for years because he drinks beer all day so casually as if it’s water. Like, he goes through 2 6 packs in a day. -
@Duchess “Size doesn’t matter, I can fuck that guy up”
“Most guys bigger than me are terrified of me”
“I’m a scary little dude”
“I’m terrifying”
“I will fuck you up”
and I don’t have good examples of the other .-. -
And because of previous fights, arguments, and ass-beatings we’ve received from each other, he’s starting to realize when to and when not to fuck off, so he hasn’t been that much of a pain in the ass this year. :)
-
@Calistaa one time I accidentally drank a whole cup of alcoholic cider without knowing, and the next day I found out because mom asked “who drank the rum cider”
-
@SM9118Studios ok but atleast you don’t actively drink beer
-
@Calistaa lmao
-
@Calistaa Holi cannoli. That’s literally life threatening. Wow, I am sorry you even have that responsibility. He shouldn’t have to rely on you because of his mistakes. That’s just disgusting. And the fact that he continues to drink like it doesn’t effect you is sad.
And those phrases he says… That’s actually pretty interesting. It sometimes feels flip floppy when someone goes from saying that stuff to hating themsef. But he probably says it to make himself feel better, honestly. Not even to say that what he says isn’t true. But those phrases definitely strike me as something people say to make themself feel better. Whether that’s to intimidate or boost is ego. Intimidating people probably boots his ego lol.
-
@Duchess I’ve spoken to him about it before and it was actually fairly recent- like, a few days ago, I believe. He knows that this is happening because of the alcohol, but unfortunately, it’s not that easy to just stop altogether.
-
@Calistaa Yeah, not even having yourself aware of the problem is enough to just quit. Even if it isn’t cold turkey. Does he try to cut back…or…not really?
-
@Duchess Nope.
-
@Calistaa Do you think he just doesn’t care or has he just given up on himself?
-
@Calistaa I had a pretty rough time with my dad when i was growing up, he was also an alcoholic.
He used to get so mad at me for the tiniest thing, but my brother would get the light end of it all because both my parents liked him more, and they were very vocal about it.
I used to get bruises and beatings until i learned to fight back. then my parents separated. At that point it was basically choosing to live with my piece of shit dad or my druggie, irresponsible mother.
I chose the latter, and when i was 18, with the snap of a finger i was on my own.
I’m sorry you have to deal with your father, and it’s nice to hear it’s at least somewhat getting better. Parents can be harsh, but you can get through it, just stay strong.
-
@CaptainPresto Yeah… I think once an outside substance gets involved, it just ruins everything. Ironically, people usually use it to make themselves feel better. It’s inspirational to know how you had such a tough childhood and you grew up to be so nice and have a life of your own. I think people should take knowing your experience and see that life can get better even when it’s dark.
