poem abt 8th grade

the light at the crossroads pt2

8th grade
the man making his way to hope
the hours of pain
the hours of stress
but the man takes me with him

he tells me its gonna be okay
and i calm my nerves
i make it the rest of the year

but i miss
the laughs
the cries
the breakfast club
the drama of love

and with that
i sign off as an 8th grader
signing in as a freshman

signing out of middle school.
