i don’t think it takes 45 minutes to delete an account though, because atm it’s still here (unless you forgot your password then i’d understand)

literally like why do you need your password to delete account, no other site does that i don’t think, it’s just plain stupid, imo it should just be replaced with a “are you sure” prompt

maybe it should be like this though:
no password required to delete account
account doesn’t get deleted immediately after pressing the button, rather it’s in a 7/14 day long closure state where you can log back in if you feel bad, once the 7/14 days pass with no logins, the account is perm deleted so situations like that cannot happenand also if you forget password but want to log back in anyway, you can always submit a password reset request on the guest support forum

what makes this a smidgen better from the current system is that many people who say “I’M LEAVING THIS SITE” and delete their accounts just come back a few days later under a new account
looking at you tripodbecause i did the exact same thing back in december 2022, deleted my account and came back a few days later, and i lost practically everything which honestly looking back at it was just a plain silly idea and i had to restart again when i could have just put the site on my block list (ublock origin be like) and unblocked it later on when i felt like coming back

I’ve seen it on a lot of other sites. its to keep random people from snooping on your laptop while youre not around and deleting your account. Say, if you went to the bathroom and left your laptop open. its a safety feature. Plus, why does everyone have to delete accounts all the time? Like wtf??? -
