Having no one means nobody loves you/can protect you.

It was like status.

So I kept quiet

And he was kind of cute so that tricked me also

I hate that society pressures people into relationships like that. Romance isnt the only love out there. Friends love you. Family loves you. People who shame others for not being in a relationship are likely not in their relationship for the right reason. Having a partner is not a status symbol. It’s a commitment.
I never dated in middle or highschool. I never even cared about dating lol. But the perfect person came around anyways and I think that is the best way to end up with someone. Just letting life be and see where it takes you.
