The Curse of the Magic Gun
A Horror Story
by Ren(The name I go by now. Or Milo-)Whilst investigating the death of a local painter, a splendid mechanic called The Machinist uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, magic gun circulating throughout Redline Rig. As soon as anyone uses the gun, he or she has exactly 24 days left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look upside-down. A marked person feels like a gray dog to touch.
The Machinist gets hold of the gun, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: a feathery kitten balancing on a crowded painter, an old newspaper headline about a drunk driving accident, a hooded flamingo ranting about fingers and a drinking well located in a beautiful place.
When The Machinist notices her lips have dog-like properties, she realizes that
the curse of the magic gun is true and calls in her lover, an actor called Brite Raider, to help.
Brite examines the gun and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the feathery kitten balancing on a crowded painter particularly chilling. Not only that, but she joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Machinist and Brite pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded flamingo. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?(Yes, I Ship Brite Raider & The Machinist, Deal With It.)
