The Canary in the Coal Mine

"From bright blue skies to cold dark ground
Where once I sang, now give no sound
golden like the sun, singing to my heart’s content
Now every voice i have is a voice already spent
In darkest chasms, i was brought forth
The warning comes, the others hasten North

So is the tale of the Canary in the Coal Mine
Who’s life and song is put forth on the line
With angellic voice and feathers like the stars
Warns all of what’s to come, and the following scars".
