Me and Meltingwall, the scientists, have come out with the theory that Qurugosk has been in the middle of the line between both Cryptoth and Luxcese. Luxcese is thought to be the stage in the line where Qurugosk evolve into them in the future. Cryptoth is said to be the past relative that lived right when the dinosaurs were wandering in Sonaria. They were aggressive herbivores that could fend off potential threats, such as the Gyroudus, the dangerous Brutata Violencio, and the Dunkleastus. In ancient times, animals such as Kavouradis and the Sana’ata were the only animals that posed a threat to the Cryptoths. As the ice age approached, the cold-blooded reptiles that were so-called Cryptoth’s enemies froze to death.
Due to the layers of snow and ice blocking off the plants, the Cryptoth had to find more ways to satisfy their hunger. It is said that a group of Cryptoth, led by a gestation female, found a pile of Trikylo corpses. As the animals could not find any plants, they decided to eat the trikylo’s flesh. Studies have shown that the cryptoth’s never got sick/ill, and the taste of cold flesh was satisfying to their taste buds. This is when the Cryptoth’s started to eat flesh, and to withstand the cold, began to grow wings. This is when the animals slowly evolved into the Qurugosk, which is the modern-day form.
Qurugosk is a fast animal. They are the masters of disguise and could disappear in thin air. Qurugosk is shown to be the modern-day Cryptoth, as they have the ability to walk on 2 legs without stumbling. Qurugosk is capable of flying but takes off at a slow pace since adults, specifically females, will groom their wings and form cuts and tears. Like Cryptoths, Qurugosk forms special flames called Pit Fires which help Qurugosk stay warm and turn invisible. Qurugosk, unlike Cryptoths, is said to have slightly more predators. Such predators are Kendylls, Sana’ata, Hygos, and Zethines. Male Qurugosk is said to be the stronger and more aggressive of the Qurugosk species. Cryptoth is said to only inhabit the plains and deserts of Sonaria, while Qurugosk can live anywhere. Qurugosk is said to prey on Nakamaska, Aereis, Fellisios, and Jotunhels. Even though Qurugosk are found everywhere, they are seldom seen.
In the year 2021, I and MeltingWall captured a male Qurugosk specimen. We sent him into a gas chamber and locked him in steel chains. We have been trying to figure out how to do this, as the serum that we have given all other male specimens failed to work. As he was tranquilized, we used a syringe and injected the serum into his body. As he slept, we left for the night only to arrive the next day shocked. His enclosure was very foggy, and dust was floating all around his enclosure. As I looked through his enclosure window, a presence was lurking in the fog. As we opened the doors slowly, the Luxcese ran out of the enclosure and ran out of the open lab doors that led outside into the world of Sonaria. My partner failed to catch the animal in time, and now we must find him again.

Luxcese is the futuristic relative of Qurugosk. There are a few Luxcese in the world. They are extremely intelligent and can solve human puzzles and tell foods from which is which. Like the Qurugosk, it can turn invisible. They are thought to fly, though their wings are more of capes and are solely used for gliding short distances. They can also double jump by heavily flapping their wings. Every Luxcese specimen known to man is a male. These animals are formed whenever a Luxcese has mated with a female Qurugosk. It is very rare for a Qurugosk to give birth to a Luxcese, and in most cases, she will lay Qurugosk eggs instead of having a Luxcese. Luxcese only chooses the biggest females with the cleanest bodies and the least torn wings. When a female Qurugosk is about to have a Luxcese, she will give live birth and the gestation period will last about 2 years depending on how healthy she is. Since Luxcese grows faster than Qurugosk, the female will lay 0 Qurugosk eggs, and the Luxcese will be by himself. The mother Qurugosk is overly protective of her hatchling due to how rare he is, and she will protect him with her life. Luxcese and Qurugosk stay together for life. Luxcese has an unknown habitat and is much rarer than Qurugosk. Luxcese is an apex predator and has no predators. They are thought to protect herds of Cryptoth from danger. Only Sana’ata are threats to them. -

yeah, i mean, luxsces and quru have a similar build, while quru and crypt have similar head shapes, spikes (not as much on quru) weirdly hooked hands and pit flames
