"Once I Said" -a speech written and told by Cassidy

“You know how people say, treat others how you want to be treated? Well apparently, no one in 2017 understood what that meant. When I was younger everyone in my school bullied me and talked about me for the way I looked and my height. I tried my best to look okay because I used to care about what others said. I once said when I was younger, I wanted to grow up and look pretty, be famous and stuff like that because I didn’t like being bullied for something I had no control over. I understand I didn’t look very attractive then but the way that made me feel was terrible. One day I got so sick of it so tired of I just wanted to quit wanted to leave wanted to get away, away from it all away from the world. On May 18th I said I’d do it cuz that day at school I was walking by a girl tripped me and dumped my tray all over me. I had gotten a hold of a piece of glass, and I was about to slit my wrist, but I heard the voice of my youngest sister I heard her sweet lil voice and paused. She as knocking at the door and was saying open the door I dropped the blade and opened the door. My sister walked in and tagged me she said your it then I realized I couldn’t leave not yet and not now. I realized if I left then it would hurt my sisters more then me. And i dont want to look down on them and see them hurt. My legacy wasn’t done and yours’ isn’t ether”

I think that everyday, I even ran away for a month last year, but I always stop myself from doing things that would hurt the people I love. Thank you for this. A lot of people need to hear this.
