The Story of My Pronouns
-
its not some crazy drastic story but moreso a joke that ended up sticking.
Me and my at the time boyfriend (ex now) used to play around with each other and call each other opposite gender pronouns because people did that at school as an insult. It was our way of reclaiming it and we found it funny, I personally still do, but like one day he was like “excuse me SIR” and i guess after that I was like, okay i can definitely see myself being called that on a daily basis. i cant really explain the feeling it was moreso just a realization of something that I’d known for a long time. In 5th grade, i went by the name Dakota then Cameron because I went by they/them because I just knew for so long i wasnt a girl, it just never felt right and I felt so out of place, the name Genesis just wasn’t for me. So i slowly transitioned names from Genesis (deadname, dont use it unless im comfortable with you using it), to Nyx (which i dont rly like anymore but im fine if you use it), to Finnley (nickname finn, dont rly use finnley anymore either), to Finneas. and look where i am now, a happi trans femboy, living his gay little life, with his gay little friends. Hope you enjoyed my storytime.
