How'd you get your preferred name?

uhhh finn was the first name that came up for me when i googled genderneutral names, but i started with nyx which i loved at the time but it was a goddesses name and that wasnt helping the case of me trying to be called a male when i dress feminine and people think thats my pronouns or wtv, then i changed to finn because it was more masculine yk?

My irl preferred name was given to me by my step-dad when he read my name wrong, itâs much easier to say then my birth name lol

I got mine because everyone says im random, like one night I stayed at friends house and I randomly woke up at like 5:30AM and went outside and started cutting the grass with scissors while listening to loud music on my headphones using my phones flashlight to see, I did this for like, 10 minutes and my friend had seen me go outside so he wenât out too and said something like, âBro⊠nahh iâm not even gonna say nothing no more like thatâs⊠randomâ then I said, âBro what? iâm just cutting the grass, I was tired so what else would I do?â then he just stood there and then he wenât back in to go to sleep. I was out there for like 5 more minutes and went back in to sleep too. But I didnât sleep in my bed. So you see thereâs this open space under the bed I was supposed to be sleeping on, But I moved my blanket and pillow and slept under the bed.
