my friends and i were joking around with one of their (G) boyfriend and i was joking about dating G in front of BF and he joked back about it, laughing and saying that it was possible because we were both gay. Later that day i got a call from G saying that we shouldnt joke about that kind of stuff anymore because BF yelled at them. My other friend and i were noticing and advising like “Hey if he jokes about it when we’re around and yells at you later thats kinda a red flag and we’re here for you” and G kind of partially agreed. Now, BF is back to joking around with me and im not laughing as much and i think he noticed. Should i be worried for G? I know im asking a forum full of piano people, but im really concerned for them and i dont have anyone else to talk to cause my next therapy session is in three weeks.

]- Jinx "Snortable" Powder -[ Honestly, I had to read this at least 3-4 times over to comprehend the situation (XD). I do think this bf guy is someone to be careful about. Because if he’s being two faced like that, then… It could lead to other toxic behaviours. Joking about something, then yelling at someone about it after they’re alone? That’s. Not okay o.o I’d be pretty worried too because that’s like red flag #1 to manipulative and abusive relationships. This day in age, relationships get more and more toxic. Although I do want to clarify, just because someone expresses one toxic behaviour, doesnt mean you should break up. I believe in working through problems like that at the beginning so you can grow healthfully. You shouldn’t really have to be worrying if bf will secretly not approve of something you say, and then yell at your friend afterwards. While seeminly be okay with it in front of you. Mmm, that doesn’t sit right with me. Maybe talk to G a little more and have a serious conversation about that. Not to convince them to break up though, because there’s no point in a relationship if you aren’t willing to mend it a little. But, just to hear what they have to say. Who knows what else could be wrong in the picture. Maybe talk to bf too. Ask him if he’s okay with those jokes (even if he’s making them, still raise the concern). Then if he says it’s all dandy, then you really know who’s lying / is two faced. Especially if G ever tells you more about him yelling at them again. That’s my advice. I hope I got the situation right o.o
