Doing more of these, since you guys seem to think i give good advice, which i appreciate.
This is one that I take with a personal side. My mother is just like this.
It honestly goes back to when I was born. I wasn’t exactly a planned child, therefore both my parents were strict and extremely tough to be around. My mom judged my every move, despite her being a druggie. It hurt, knowing that my own mother would always see me as a disappointment.
But after a while, I stopped caring about what she thought of me. I gave up on her visions, and started doing things for myself.
That’s the takeaway here. Life is full of people that are going to try to bring you down, and all they want to do is see you fail. You have to ignore those people, no matter how close to them you are. The only opinion of yourself that should matter to you, is your own.

@CaptainPresto I feel like I particularly need this set of advice. I know certain people who seen to just never be happy with anything I have done. Learning to just not care about them is hard, but it’s just what needs to be done at that point.
