My weird obsession
-
So I'm- not quite sure how to phrase this. I don't know how to make long as posts like cough certain other people. Basically- for as long as I can remember I've had this obsession with the right and left halves of my body having to be completely equal. For example, if I scratch my arm, I am physically unable to resist scratching my other arm in the exact same spot even if it isn't itchy. If I accidentally kick something with my leg, of course I had to kick it with my other leg (with the exact same force).
It doesn't have to be the exact same action though, it simply needs to have the same amount of force. For example, if I were to break my leg, of course I wouldn't break my other leg. However I may slightly injure it by cutting it or something several times so both legs feel the exact same amount of pain. I don't enjoy the pain, I'm not masochistic, I just can't control it. It needs to be perfectly equal. When I'm typing, if I hit the spacebar with one of my fingers then I have to either press the spacebar with that same finger on my other hand, och press another key three times or so. If I press the other key too many times it gets unbalanced and I need to press space with the other hand again. I've always done the same with my steps. I count every step I take so both my legs have always taken equal amounts of steps, and if I'm walking up stairs and I first walk up 3 stairs in one step, then i have to walk up two stairs twice in two steps with the other leg. I've also had a fascination with a certain pattern I made a long time ago. It's 1001011001101001011010011001011001101001100101101001011001101001.
It doesn't just have to be ones and zeroes though, it can be two of anything, as long as there are not more or less. That's why I usually tap out the pattern with my fingers to relieve stress. It's easier to see it if you divide it into sets of four numbers. 1001 0110 0110 1001 0110 1001 1001 0110 0110 1001 1001 0110 1001 0110 0110 1001.
Alright, sorry for the long post. Can anybody relate to this? -
@Pԋσҽɳιx I'm sorry. I've never told anyone else about this-
-
@Pԋσҽɳιx You're weird.
-
@Sapphire I'm asking if anyone can relate, not if I'm a psychopath.
-
@Pԋσҽɳιx ok
-
Also it's completely impossible for me to switch from one activity to another unless the minutes on the clock are divisible by 5.
-
no i think thats just you
-
@Sapphire that's
not nice -
phoenix i kinda understand that but i'm not the same way, but if one nail on one hand is shorter than the rest i absolutely need to trim the other ones down
-
@Pԋσҽɳιx I don't relate to this at all.
Sure, certain things need to be perfect in my eyes, but I don't do anything you wrote in this long post.
