its kinda hsrd being leader as a freshman…i dont have a bunch of peoples respwc4 and i have a low tolerance for bullshit so idk. im working and trying my hardest to do my best and i am doing my best but some of my section isnt doing the work and some of the veterans (people who were in band in previous years) still dont know marching fundamentals

@a7x-isbetter-thanu trying is one of the best things you can do. your not perfect, we’re all human, and things like that can be really tricky and complicated to do and might get on your nerves a lot but you got this.

@a7x-isbetter-thanu It can be hard to get people’s respect being a student yourself. Im sure it takes time though. Maybe it’s stressful, but make sure you talk about it and seek guidance from others in school so you don’t get overwhelmed too much with how you feel. Having someone at least being aware of how you feel about being the leader is better than no one knowing how much you have on your shoulders and you end up falling without the support you could use to get back up.

oof that sucks man. you’re lucky to be in leadership as a freshman though. by the time you’re a senior you’ll have a lot of respect for having been in that position the whole time! -
another rant on this topic
so apparently im too harsh but i really have no clue what im doing and i feel like really really alone ngl. its complicated and no one told me how to do this shit. and my sections really not seeing shit from my perspective and its kind of annoying i guess, like i see their perspective but when everyones bombarding you with advice and telling you how to do your job at once its a lot to navigate at once

@a7x-isbetter-thanu idk man im trying

You’ll get used to it probably. don’t let the pressure make you quit. If you stick with it, you’ll probably be glad you did down the line. Everyone makes mistakes!
