just got misgendered at the gas station
-
thought it’d be good time to show the bullshit this generation has started. so yes i identify as a man, but i present extremely feminine so the lady at the gas station said have a nice day ma’am right, she saw my he/him pin and started apologizing and i felt bad bc i didn’t really care but apparently this happened with someone else and they tried to get her fired which is fucked up. i ended up giving her a hug bc i felt really bad but its just like dude its not that serious. i definitely look like a female so people are gonna call me that and im okay with that, but man this generation is fucked up. dude we live in the south these older people are not gonna understand any of this LGBTQIA+ shit, and i dont blame them bc they come from a different generation. but man, felt bad for her, shes just trying to get a check and go home
-
and i feel like i know exactly who did it because theres a gays in my city facebook group i left bc they act like assholes and like theyre better than everyone bc theyre gay and its like no dude, you’re not go fuck yourself
-
I deadass read the title and thought the worst, thinking you were one of those
Ily for being… not that
-
@Sen i love you too senny bear :))))
-
@omgitsfinneas What’s also crazy is how some people are that scared about accidentally misgendering. People shouldn’t be that scared, but some of the lgtbt people have kind of gotten belligerent about misgendering lol. Which it’s good to know there are people who won’t. This generation is too fragile. Im glad you gave that person a hug.
-
@Duchess yeah she needed it, it really sucks because we live in the south so people are already hella slow about being liberal, theres not even any liberal churches in my town, you have to go 30 minutes away to find one so its a hard ask for that
-
@omgitsfinneas Well. I wouldn’t wait on people to be liberal though. Like, everyone has a different pov on things and that’s what makes America great. Conservativism is kind of a part of the southern culture.
-
@Duchess yeah, i mean just bc i dont wanna be bothered i might move up north but being liberal is a choice we cant force on anyone
-
@omgitsfinneas Yeah. Up north is much more liberal.

i was raised to only say “ma’am” or “sir” usually to older people (like ten years or more)
