Envy (A poem)
-
Envy the way you wake up everyday,
Shuffling along a song, hit a chord.
You light up your skies, alit from a gray,
Until the big bass beat in mind strikes board.You live off your days with my heart in hand,
The grass in your toes, the wind in your face.
I dream to meet you on sweet summer sand,
but I am lost outside of this strange place.Envy that your soul can do a great good.
My hands are dipped crimson from what Iβve done;
Hide all my fears beneath a velvet hood,
I envy the rays from your golden sun.You seem to hide from the people you meet,
I envy your friends, But I state βDefeatβ. -
