Moons shouldn’t just be a crescent. They’re spherical objects with a bunch of surface features.
For realism:
Start off with a circle. First, draw the shadow. Then draw all the craters and black spots. You don’t need to be too detailed with them.
This depends on which phase of the moon you want to draw it in. A full moon or a crescent moon, either is your choice.For minimalism:
If you’re just going for the simple crescent shape that the Moon is almost always depicted in, at least draw some craters. Don’t make it black and draw some dots on it. It barely looks like the moon at all.I suggest some reference images. Do a quick Google search and you’ll find thousands of images of the moon, both real photos and cartoonist depictions.

Also I don’t know what you were going for with the blurry “night” background. If there’s a paint bucket tool, use it for the background and maybe draw some stars too.
