how long were you looking at it for? if you look at the sun directly for long enough the sun can temporarily or permanently burn the mecula (part of the retina), they’re definitely not a scam as this has been proven by science and previous incidents, however, it also depends if you’re in the eclipse range (idk where you live and i dont wanna know tbh), if you’re looking directly at the sun, if you’re inside, and how long you’re looking at the sun. it may not blind you but it can damage your vision nonetheless, looking at it doesn’t make you blind and most people look away before they’re blinded but it can still worsen your vision and i don’t recommend it as a science person (yes i’ve been looking into all of this all day, don’t ask any questions)

When the moon was all the way infront of the sun

I can still see clearly :)

@ゼフィラ-ヤラ Yeah I don’t think you need glasses for that part, they’re only really needed before and after the moon moves. Cause that’s when you can actually see the sun.

Could be wrong, that’s just what I picked up from the National Geographic Disney+ live event, I wasn’t actually there in person, the eclipse wasn’t that cool here in Cali
