"You have to have respect for me. I'm a grown-up."
-
Guys? How many times have you heard this excuse being used by adults towards non-adults?
I just heard it again today and quite frankly I’m getting sick of it. No, the youngster has a right not to respect you, because you’re acting like a bitch interrupting said youngster while they’re talking. If you don’t respect one person, then you don’t deserve said person’s respect back. Adults should stop playing the victim card for being scolded by people younger than them for being reminded of basic manners. Nobody fucking cares that you’re 48. You’re not a God for others to have respect for you at all times. This is called reaping what you sow. Disrespect others? Don’t expect respect from others back. End of story. -
Well said. I completely agree with your statement right there. If they want respect, they need to show it first. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of their age. With the respect they want to receive. It’s not about playing the ‘ViCtiM cArD’ or expecting the “sPeCiAl tReAtmEnT” Because you’re older or younger, It’s about Respect. Should I type It out loud and clear? R-E-S-P-E-C-T. It’s also pathetic and useless watching adults act like kids, when they also tell people younger than them to also act like they’re age. Kinda hypocritical If you ask me. 🤷
