society

Guys, I’m going to be honest. School sucks. Adults suck. Society as a whole, honestly kinda sucks.
I just wanna say:
Teachers. Parents.
The very same people that tell you to be a kid while you can.
What do they only ever tell you, generally right after this?
“Be more mature.”
“You should know better.”
“You’re getting too old for this.”
Now, a teacher-specific thing.
“You’re going to be an adult soon, and we’re trying to help you get there. All these tasks do need to be turned in on time, because late work is never accepted on the job.”
My response to this: We’re not at work. We’re at school. You tell us to be children while we can, yet you demand us to be the adults we’re not. That’s all. I really just wanted to say that when adults in general say shit like this, sure, they might be trying to help you, but they’re not right. About most of it, yeah. But if we’re kids, why should we be the adults?

@J-u-n ESPECALLY OLDEST SIBLINGS

I know a guy who’s a couple years older than me.
Recently, he turned 18, and decided to sign up for the military. I hope the hell weeks weren’t too brutal for him.
Now, I get this even from him. He tells me that through the school years, it starts going uphill.
Well, I’m graduating high school next year, and the only thing that’s really gone uphill is my confidence and lack of opinions (although I still care).
If you’re a person who has utterly horrible interaction skills like me, it doesn’t get much better. I struggle to talk to classmates because most of the time, as a person who doesn’t use “tik tok” I can’t understand the shit they say sometimes, and I can’t commune in a similar way because I don’t understand at all.
What I mean by this is, sometimes it’s not the teachers, parents, or adults. It’s your friends, siblings, and classmates. The people your own age, who you’d generally assume would get you better. Before signing up for the military, he was going to kill himself. We talked about it. You want to know why?
Society. That’s why. It’s a really brutal world once you actually reach that age. If you have the kind of parents that kick you out, they’re not the best parents. Not saying they’re absolutely horrible. I’m raised by the mother that would keep her children with her until they can get that money on their own to get their own house, furniture, pay their own bills, debts, and shit like that. Thank god for my stepmother. If you’re thinking about killing yourself, there’s not much I can ask other than please don’t. You wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun things would you? I hear that at the age of 21, you reach peak happiness. At least don’t die until then, for me.
I’ve thought about it before, and I’m glad I didn’t kill myself. If I did, I wouldn’t have met the wonderful people I have.I would also like to apologize if some of the things I say don’t make sense, and the conversation is somewhat unorganized. Some of this might not be grammatically correct, and so I apologize for that.
Have a good day, thank you for reading this rant.

Adding on: A better explanation as to why he was going to kill himself; there’s always that one person who you defend, trust, and could never, would never hate, until they finally give you that reason to. They turn against you and pull such… hypocrite moves against you in arguments. That’s not all though. This world is full of assholes, genuinely horrible people, that couldn’t give less a shit if you died. Sometimes they actually want you dead. No good reason other than you’re better than them.
He had a girlfriend sometime last year. Lucky guy to have her. Y’know what she did? Broke up with him right before Valentines day. What a whore.I hope you guys can avoid situations (and people) like this. And, do be safe out there.
If you need someone to talk to, let me know.
