For those looking to buy tail keychains but don’t have a lot of money do not buy them off Amazon, Temu, and AliExpress. I know Esty isn’t cheap but please buy them from there esty’s taxidermy tails come from genuine ethical sources. Many products marketed as “faux fur” on mass-production sites like Amazon, Temu, or AliExpress. These are frequently sourced from unethical Fur Farms.
Fur farms often engage in unethical and cruel practices. Animals on these farms are confined to small, filthy cages, which are significantly smaller than their natural roaming areas. For example, Arctic foxes, who naturally roam within a 12-mile family territory and can migrate nearly 3,000 miles, are kept in cages smaller than one square meter (about 10 square feet).
Animal rights groups have reported that animals on fur farms frequently suffer from sickness, infected eyes and wounds, limb and mouth deformities, obesity, overgrown nails, and stress behaviors such as pacing, repetitive nodding, self-mutilation, and cannibalism.
Fur animals typically live very short lives and are killed before they reach one year old. Common methods of killing include gassing or electrocution some animals are killed with brutal blows to the head or by having their necks broken.Some tails marketed as “Faux tails” are actually from plastic materials like polyester or acrylic. These materials are not biodegradable and environmental safe.

yea i got a ‘fake fur tail’ from the fair…
it fell apart and u could see the leather inside and now i just have a REAL silver fox tail laying arund in my room that i got for like 20 bucks

@ugly-hoez-hate-me I have a real wolf tail,3 real fox tails then I have a tail that’s a raccoon tail from the east side of Asia the I have a full on taxadurmy fox

if ya want a faux fur tail from amazon/temu/aliexpress or any other fast fashion place (i dont support em but some people cant afford etsy yk) then go for one with a belt rather than a keychain
tails with belt attachments are usually seen as a furry thing rather than being for alt people/therians but theyre generally less likely to be made from real fur
if ys think fur is real, cut off a small piece and burn it
if it melts its fake but if it singes then its real
