      Justified Feelings
A way to be generous to yourself is to acknowledge how you feel about something. I also struggle with knowing what feelings are justified or not. It can be a little tricky discerning how to react to something hurtful. We overthink, underestimate ourselves, and assume we’re making a big deal over a situation. If you’re ever unsure about how to react to something, talk it over with someone. Maybe multiple people, even. Acting on a feeling in the moment can be scary. When someone hurts you, it’s okay to let yourself feel hurt. It’s not a weakness. It’s not you letting people get to you. It’s not always you making a big deal. We think and feel differently than each other, and how we adapt to one another is to know what people are feeling.

The more you undermine big situations, the less you trust yourself to make choices. And the more people will step on you. If every single time you get hurt, and you let it go and say it’s okay when it’s not inside, who’s going to take advantage? Not many people won’t. Who’s going to say “No, please take time to forgive me”? I just want to get the point across that your feelings matter too. And never drive them to the dirt to make someone happy. Because that will only hurt you.
