It’s important to take breaks in a relationship. Maybe you both are struggling heavily mentally and can’t support each other, understand each other, help each other, feel that same romantic love towards each other. And that’s okay, it’s always healthy to take breaks to reevaluate your mental status and your relationship status. Now, I won’t share anything too personal but me and my gf are currently undergoing a break. We’re talking over how we should go about said break, what would it consist of, how we would communicate. Now this isn’t meaning that we’re breaking up, were simply just mutual and focusing on ourselves till we’re okay. This is really healthy as we can’t see each other and our communication has gotten bad, so our health has been declining and we’re just trying to figure out how to salvage this relationship, cause of course we still love each other.
When you are in a relationship it’s so healthy and so okay to express your concern for your health, you don’t always have to have a reason concerning the other persons health, if you need the break and your sole reason is yourself, then yeah do it! You just focus on that self care and self pampering till youre okay to enter into the relationship again, or not. It is not okay to invalidate yourself entirely to save a relationship that needs more help than you think.
