I haven’t talked about this one in a while. Things will be slightly changed and vague for confidentiality.
Around July in 2016, I was playing in a pool, as 9-year-olds do (turned 10 not long after this happened). I was a little too close to the ladder which protruded upward, and my toes went from ||||| to ||||— My smallest toe was now (approximately) at an 80° angle to the right (on my right foot). I had to walk through a giant parking lot at a hospital (after a short car ride to said hospital), check in, then wait five excruciating hours with a Sunkist to drink and a small bag of Cheetos (crunchy). By the end of it, my toe was back in place and I had to use crutches from that day to almost the end of August.
Moral of the story: Don’t get too close to the ladders at a pool.
