I realize this wasnt that main point of your post, but

that’s bullcrap, imo. In college, sure maybe you’ll have more responsibilities and stuff, but aint no one ever said you can’t still have a childlike spirit or experience! But even after that as an adult, dont lose your imagination and freedom!

@Lusion One of my cats is somewhat like that too, but it’s only when they’re unable to enter her litterbox, so she has no choice but to do her business on towels that happen to be on the floor, or in the dryer room. That’s mainly our/my mom’s fault but it happens sometimes.
I would absolutely feel the same - I know that both of my cats enjoy eachother’s company, and just putting down one of them would be terrible, even to think about. Relationships with pets are super meaningful, and letting go of that is something that people don’t even want to consider in their minds, I can agree. I’m glad both of them are okay though ^^
