Stepmother rant has me concerned

My stepmother walks into the livingroom from the kitchen, muttering things under her breath in irritation.
She says something like: “She better be fuckin’ scared, ugly ass whore.” followed by: “that’s what she gets for hurting my babies.”
She only has two children. Me, her adoptive son, and her biological son, my stepbrother. Now, I know no grown ass woman has been putting her hands on me any recent time, but I have no idea about my brother. So, here I am, assuming some slag has been hurting my stepbrother. I don’t know what’s happened, but I’m worried.
