the way reputation works is kinda tricky
you have 3 types of reputation: red, green and blue
you get red rep for upvoting posts
you get green rep for downvoting posts
you get blue rep for answering in topics
red green and blue rep (R.G.B.) is used respectively for increasing your T.P., N.P. and G.P.
the amount of rep needed scales with the amount of topics you created for red and blue, and the amount of time youve been on the website for green
the formula for your general rep (G.R.) estimation is y=x^(z-12)+r.p x n.p.
where y is T.P., x is G.P. and Z is an amount of topics you created (but NOT!!! the amount of posts you send in someone else’s topic, thats important)
a certain milestones of rep will reward you with certain things, including but not limited to: access to shadow themes, dialogue with lapis, ability to dm without limitations and even MPP merch (though nobody seemed to reach enough rep for that)
Also theres a shadow rep mechanic, but thats only important for mods and admins
