this is what i like to call “the mpp effect”[1], and i have experienced it myself]2]
[1] the mpp effect is a thing where a person / people proclaim they are leaving the site for a given amount of time (a few days, weeks, months, forever…) but either feel bad or are a big liar to escape their “friends” / get out of drama
[2] this happened in 2021 when i was kind of getting tired of mpp but couldn’t leave since mpp to me is like drugs to a drug addict, you just can’t escape it -
