Waltz of the Meadows - composition by me!
-
Before the end of May I had a final for my music class: it was to make a 3 minute symphony using 18 instruments! This was using a platform online of course, called Flat.io (you can find examples on my YouTube channel)
Anyway, this had to be totally original - no plagiarizing any other musical pieces.
A week before the final as I was sitting at my desk in music, a musical idea started to play in my head:C# - - ~C# - - {C#C} A# -A A# - -
G# - - ~F# - - {F#G#F#} F -E F - -(-) = 1 beat (silent)
(~) = play 1 octave higher
({}) = grace notesIt was too good to ignore so I wrote it down on a doc, in which I could possibly use it for my final. (I used this for the beginning of my symphony)
Personally, I favor Waltzes more than anything so this was perfect due to the 6/8 time signature of my little idea already!
Trying to ingrain 18 instruments to this seemed difficult, but it worked out!
So here, I present to you my best Waltz symphony that I have worked on for a month! Waltz of the Meadows. Please listen to it in its entirety, and if you could give me some feedback, that would be great!
Enjoy!!! -
