first time lying to a teacher

my french teacher saw me poking a pin in my hand and after class she was like “let me see you hand” and i showed her and shes like “no no no… hun this is a form of self harm… are you trying to hurt yourself?” and i lied saying “no im not, i have a high pain tolerance anyways so it doesnt bother me.” and shes like “it doesnt matter love… dont do that…” and i was like “o k a y .” and she was like “im gonna be checking up on you from now on to see if your self harming.” and then me over here still does it but feels bad for lying
