This is typically the point I try to make to people who seem to be taking life a little too harshly:

          "Life is harder than it was made out to be when we were little. They don't teach that in school, or tell you about it beforehand, Life just happens. It can be fun, and nice. Or, it can be mean and seem like everything is going wrong. It's natural and we all go through it. But regardless of how hard life gets, we all are strong, we all fight through it, That's why we're here. We have to be strong, and tread on, or we're just proving life to be stronger than we are."

It’s an easy way to tell someone everything will be okay, without sugar coating anything. Because i believe true depression isn’t detectable by word of mouth. Depression isn’t something people like to display out on neon lights. A lot of people can tell the difference between depression and a cry for help, because there is a difference.

Now, a cry for help isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t ask for help/attention when they need to, but it’s important to know the difference.

Long story short, it’s okay to ask for help, a venting, a rant, etc., Just know that, in order to be helped, you have to accept help and be able to adapt to life.
