so i have this friend who’s lesbian, right? there’s this other girl, who’s SUPER christian (and yes the christian girl does have blonde hair and blue eyes). now, where there’s uptight christians, there’s homophobia and discrimination. this girl found the HOME EMAIL of my friend and started sending her verses from the FUCKING BIBLE of how being gay is bad. i don’t care about religion. you can believe in whatever the fuck you want, but it’s when things go to far that make me have a problem with it. for me, it’s less the religion and more the people in that religion. also, call me biased, but as a bisexual, this pisses me off more that r. kelly when he misses his target (don’t ask why, it’s the best i could come up with). i hate it when people use their religion to push their own bigoted fucking agenda. people use their beliefs as a crutch, and imma give this bitch two of 'em if she keeps fucking around with me or other people.

Flip Ditcher When I was in my confirmation class, we had this whole discussion about different sexualities, and how that affects one’s religious life. I can see how the Bible can portray certain types of love that us Christians/Catholics should follow, but ultimately, love is love
I wouldn’t consider my class to be a ‘homophobic’ one, but I now realize that affection for one another, no matter who, is no different from the universal love that we’re all familiar with.
She really shouldn’t go about against someone’s sexuality - the Bible may have the best of wisdom, but doing this wouldn’t be the best for her, or anyone else. -

Christianity is a lifestyle. So is lgbtq. But having different views on eachother isnt wrong. Muslims are also known to have the same controversial viewpoints as Christians too. I don’t hear too much talk about them though. I wouldn’t unbrella-term “uptight Christians” as being homophobic and discriminative. Discrimination is when you treat or think less of someone based on something about someone you don’t agree with. No one should discriminate. And I wouldn’t think just because someone disagrees with someone’s lifestyle, that they will be “phobic” or “discriminate” that person for it. From that girl’s POV, she was trying to share her viewpoint on gays and lesbians and why she doesn’t agree. Personally, I don’t think people should really go out of their way to get someone’s personal email to tell someone they’re wrong for what they do because I don’t really think that does anything but get people mad lol. But I think she was just trying to point out something she doesn’t agree with just like other people do about others they dont agree with. Which isn’t wrong. If you firmely believe something, you’d want other people to agree with you too. If you firmely believe everyone should be vegan, you’d try to tell people your viewpoint and reasons why you are vegan to get others to agree with you. After all, that’s how people convert their ideas a lot of times. And that isn’t wrong at all. It may not be what people really want to hear, and it might be annoying, but that’s kind of just how people are. That’s what happens when you live in a diverce world.
Non-agreeance =/= phobicism & discrimination
You can disagree with a vegan, but that doesn’t mean you are vegan-phobic & discriminate against vegans. And if they preach their views and reasons, and you are insulted, that’s okay too! No one is forced to convert their views. But I wouldn’t get mad just because someone is trying to express that. Just express kindly that you don’t agree and would rather continue your life the way it is, case closed. It really can be that simple. If they continue hound dogging, then I’d be annoyed.
There’s not much way around making someone feel like they’re wrong or a bad person when you tell someone you don’t agree with something they do/say/feel. Barely anyone expresses what they dont agree with because they’re afraid to get attacked. Which isn’t great for anyone.
