y'all give me some simple piano songs
-
@JePhil no :)
-
besides how could i play it. i have a broken hand
-
lol then why make this post then, surely you’re not gonna play with 1 hand only
-
@JePhil i kinda have to. (simple piano songs)
-
Oh well, then I have no other recommendations
-
fuck it. imma do baby shark
-
@I_Løve_Zøf What about some Bruce Hornsby? He’s such a great pianist, and made some really classic songs :) My favorite is “The way is is”
-
@Duchess I’ll check it out
-
@Duchess
yk. i would but other than just that looking to complicated for my peanut brain i can only use one hand
-
@I_Løve_Zøf It might be kind of fast stuff though. If you’re looking for something simple, maybe that’s not the one xD
-
@Duchess yeah lol
-
@I_Løve_Zøf If it wasn’t for your broken arm, are you able to play with both hands?
-
@Duchess sortaaaaa. no. yes? honestly i struggle doing multiple different things with my hands. like if it weren’t broken. i could play something on the easier side like married life from up. but honestly i am not good at this lol
-
@JePhil I’m with you on Franz Liszt XD
Not necessarily easiest, but the most harmonically intricate, which I find amazing ^^ -
I had this on my youtube recommendations so I figured why not
-
@I_Løve_Zøf When I could only play with one hand, I used to think it was basically impossible to “multitask” without two brains working for each hand. No one ever taught me the tecniques so I had to figure it out on my own. I found it easier on my brain to think of the two hands playing one song (instead of one hand learning chords and the other hand learning melody). That’s why people playing chords alone, then playing the melody alone, then people telling them to “just play them together” doesn’t work. Learning it together makes it feel less separated. At least from my experience. My suggestion is to think of the melody as a metromone. I wish someone told me that advice way sooner because it was a total game changer when I relized it. I highly recommend practicing with “Carol of the Bells.” It’s easy and helps to practice a song with chords and timing And if you get fast, you’re only getting better at timing! Timing isn’t about happening to land on the right keys at the right moment. Though, it might feel like that’s what it is. Timing in my mind is basically pressing a key with my right hand at the same time I press down I press down a key with my left. And thinking of the melody (the right hand) as a metromone, it helps a lot with keeping beat and timing. Instead thinking of it as two sides coming together, you picture it more like one note. Something I tell myself when playing a song is "Okay, so every time I press this note down, that’s when I press this chord. So I know that I don’t have to worry about when to press the chord “at the right time” because all I have to remember is when I press the right key, I have to play the left. I hope this helps slightly, if not, that’s okay! XD

@Duchess in all honesty it’s not that i can’t do it. i just don’t the the skill nor patience to honestly figure it out. but i can and have done it. hell I’m playing a song that i made with both my hands rn. I’m only needing to use my pointer and middle finger on my left hand so i can honestly play it and tbh it sounds pretty good. If i can ever record it for y’all i will
-
@I_Løve_Zøf Oh, alright. That’s good to know. And it’s cool you’re making your own song :0 I’ve been contimplating sharing my songs on here too, but Im not confident many people would listen xD
-
@Duchess I’d listen to it. DM me it some time. I’ll gladly take the time for ya 😄
