I liked Human Services today, but the teacher made me uncomfortable.

I generally think she’s really nice, and it was fun, which I’ll get into. But more importantly, I’m going to explain what made me uncomfortable.

She walked around the circle with a bag, and we’d grab something random from the bag without looking. There were a bunch of random things like a glue stick, which is what one kid got. I got a lid for a chinese food container, and I had no idea wtf it was or what we were about to do (which I’ll also get into). Okay, so she said raise your hand if you don’t know what it is, and so I did, and multiple other kids did, wanting to know what some of the obvious things were; someone asked what the bubble blower was…
But when she got to me, she gave me a funny look which she gave to no other student, and attempted to make me feel stupid for not knowing what the fuck I was holding. None of the students judged me; just her.

Anyways, it was fun because we were supposed to make up something about it and basically turn it into something else, like an invention. I was nervous about mine so my voice was shaky, but I got through it and had fun.

The next/last thing we did was telephone. When it got to me, the girl next to me had whispered in my ear (teacher started it) “My dad died at 12.” Deadass, I didn’t mishear anything. So I whispered it to the girl on the other side of me and she fucking lost it (and so did I). The teacher clarified what she said was “I have a pink volkswagen with purple polkadots”. I wonder how we strayed so far

Oh and if you’re wondering what shit I pulled out of my ass for the invention I turned the lid into what I call the “low budget heater” where it’s like a fan but produces warm air
