a little late but heres some people from black history who i admire and who may not be as well known:
Alice Coachman was the first black female gymnast from any country to win an Olympic gold medal.
Gordon Parks was the first black american to direct a major hollywood film, the film was called βThe Learning Tree.β
Bayard Rustin was a politicial activist who mentored people like Dr. Martin Luther King jr and helped setup important marches for civil rights.
