I have some sort of odd socially competitive complex or something. Growing up, I didn’t have much social interaction, and kept to myself. It’s not the entire reason why I don’t exactly understand every social cue and whatnot, but I think it has something to do with it. I don’t intend to “one-up” people, but end up doing it. It has effected a few friendships negatively, and usually doesn’t end well. I’ve been trying to work on it for a while now, but I can’t seem to make much progress.

I talked to my psychiatrist about it and I was put on mood stabilisers which have helped a little, but not to the point where it’s not there anymore.
