A Library Within A Library {A Book That Will Make You Buy It.] [Not Finished]

I was in a library with my friends, Anabel and Clementine. But there was someone else in the library, and we didn’t know. Well. I didn’t.
“AHHHHH!!! A SKELETON!!”
I laughed
“We should be quiet, In case of an intruder inside.”
Anabel said, Putting her mouth over my mouth
“I Agree With Her.”
Clementine said, nodding her head in agreement. Clearly knowing someone was in here.

After hours of Looking and reading, As we were going out of the library, Anabel dropped a book.
“Who’s there?!”
Someone in the library said quickly, looking for us.
We quickly ran out, but we found another library inside the library.
“What the heck?!”
Anabel said
“A library inside a library?!”
“That’s-”
Clementine exclaimed, equally surprised. The three of them cautiously entered the inner library. It was just as silent and full of books as the outer one had been. They walked down the aisles, their footsteps muffled by the thick carpet underfoot.

Suddenly, Anabel stopped in her tracks. “Guys, look at this.” She pointed to a section of the shelf that seemed to have been recently disturbed. The books were slightly askew, and one of them had a piece of paper sticking out from between its pages.

Curious, they pulled out the book and unfolded the note. It read:

“Welcome to the Library of Secrets. To prove your worthiness, you must find the three hidden keys and bring them back to me. Fail, and face the consequences.”

I raised my eyebrows at the ominous message.
“Well, this just got interesting,”
I said, unable to hide the excitement in my voice.

Anabel looked nervous, but Clementine’s eyes sparkled with determination.
“Let’s do it,”
she said, her voice low and serious.

We searched the inner library high and low, pulling out books and flipping through their pages, looking for any hints or clues. We cursed under our breath when we couldn’t find anything, and whooped with joy when we discovered a small key tucked into the spine of an old dictionary.

As we continued our search, we stumbled upon a secret room hidden behind a bookshelf. Inside, we found a table with three locks on it, each one requiring a different key. We worked together, trying each key until finally, all three locks clicked open.

Just then, the person who had been lurking in the library appeared in the doorway. He was tall and thin, with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. He looked angry at first, but then his expression softened when he saw that we had succeeded in unlocking the table.

“Very good,”
he said, clapping his hands together.
“You have proven your worthiness.”

But before we could ask him what he meant, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a syringe filled with a clear liquid. Before we could react, he jabbed it into Anabel’s arm, injecting her with the substance.

Anabel screamed and collapsed to the ground, unconscious. The man turned to us, a cruel smile on his lips.

“Don’t worry,” he sneered. “She’ll be fine… once she agrees to join me in my quest for ultimate power.”

Clementine and I exchanged a terrified glance. This wasn’t the fun adventure we had signed up for. We needed to get out of there, fast.

But as we tried to make a run for it, the man lunged at us, knocking us to the ground. We fought back with everything we had, scratching and kicking and biting. But he was too strong.

In the end, we were no match for him. And as we lay there, defeated and bruised, the man cackled with glee.

“You fools should have known better than to cross paths with the Librarian of Darkness,” he spat. “Now, you will suffer the same fate as your friend.”

And with that, he injected us both with the mysterious liquid, sending us into a deep, dark sleep.
