the reason some people don’t beleive others having mental illnesses is because of those little thirteen year olds on tiktok act like they have every mental illness in the book while OBVIOUSLY faking it. like nobody with adhd’s hands are ALWAYS trembling and not EVERYONE with autism doesn’t like sound (though i think it is common)that’s why. people don’t know who to beleive because those little kids lie for attention so in their mind, ‘how do we know you’re not faking it for attention too?’
I’VE been accused before of faking my neoorodeevergeence because if ‘i’m not tested’ then ‘i don’t have it’
it sucks so i hope you get all that stupid ass drama cleared out#herebeforethemods

@ImperfectxxKio I’m assuming you made a post in regards to another here that was posted? If that is the case, I applaud you for trying to set the record straught, but I would recommend trying to settle this with the person privately first. Us moderators are also here to help if you need it! We can get involved with permission and help as much as you allow us to. Even though this is another perspective to a possible story, it is still indirect. I hope you understand and have a great day! P.S, if things ever get out of hand, i will lock the topic need be

Kio because it’s true. You literally said to Lily “I’m acting autistic so teachers can see”. She has proof of it. And you don’t hand in anything. They asses you. And for someone who has autism it’s pretty easy for people to fake it. And nobody said masking wasn’t a thing. It’s the fact you said you had to “act it” which isn’t alright. You never “act” autistic. And there’s a far more than handing in a test. You don’t even hand in a test, it’s an assessment done by autism specialists. They also look at your brain since it’s a neurological disorder. Only thing you have to hand in is a questionnaire which is for adults which you’re not an adult. Your GP will ask your parents about their child’s development, such as when they started talking, watch how them and you interact, ask about their medical history and do a physical examination. And a member of the team may also visit your child’s school to watch them in class and at break time. You don’t just hand in a test. That’s not what happens. Getting diagnosed with autism is a long process it doesn’t just happen quick.
