Why is reputation important in life?

And here’s the answer:

“Reputation determines the social standing of a person in the society. It is a measure of his or her influence. A person enjoying good reputation is definitely preferred for better jobs and for taking up leadership roles. And good reputation has never hurt anyone”

So you see, in this site we have the “Upvote” and “Downvote” thing as options, You decide if to upvote a post or to downvote a post… Very simple.

Everytime you Upvote a post, the person who made the post claims reputation, meaning the post you upvoted was very nice / helpful.

So here is the thing; There are people who use the REPUTATION System incorrectly.

If you are one of those persons, I need to tell you that if you upvote something that is not very nice or either helpful / (to the community), you may be using the REPUTATION System incorrectly.

“So, how do i use it the CORRECT way?”

If there is a post where you like and you see it Upvotable, then feel free to do it, Everyone deserves reputation.

If there is a post where you don’t like or you see as it’s breaking the community rules, Then downvote / flag it.

I made this as a message because i see a lot of wrongly rep given
There are people who deserve REPUTATION but they don’t have it somehow
Please, Consider this post and leave a upvote if you liked it.
In the end, Everyone deserves a bit of Reputation after all

Como ves, en este sitio tenemos las opciones “Votar a favor” y “Votar en contra”. Tú decides si votar a favor o en contra de una publicación… Muy simple.

Cada vez que vota a favor una publicación, la persona que hizo la publicación reclama reputación, lo que significa que la publicación que usted votó fue muy agradable/útil.

Entonces, ésta es la cuestión; Hay personas que utilizan incorrectamente el Sistema de REPUTACIÓN.

Si eres una de esas personas, debo decirte que si votas algo que no es muy bueno o útil (para la comunidad), es posible que estés usando el sistema de REPUTACIÓN incorrectamente.

“Entonces, ¿cómo lo uso de la manera CORRECTA?”

Si hay una publicación que te gusta y la ves en Upvotable, entonces siéntete libre de hacerlo, todos merecen reputación.

Si hay una publicación que no te gusta o ves que está infringiendo las reglas de la comunidad, entonces vota negativamente o márcala.

Hice esto como un mensaje porque veo muchas representaciones incorrectas
Hay personas que merecen REPUTACION pero no la tienen de alguna manera

We all know that reputation is something that is earned for a good reason - we really shouldn’t abuse it, like you stated, and use it in any incorrect fashion. There’s been a lot of controversial topics explaining this, but I’m glad that you’ve brought this up again for us to revisit it, because it needs to be occasionally.
And yes, some users really deserve more appreciation :)
