Advice Corner Vol.4

Got a double header today.
Honestly, having been forced on my own when i was 18, i gotta say i got lucky. But obviously there isn't much you can do in this situation until you're 18 and able to move out, but here's some insight on staying on the right track until then.
I spent a good deal of my teenage years rotting at my mothers house, and I despised every minute of it. But i simply had to buckle down and press on. She was toxic, pulling my mental strings in ways i thought not possible, but I got through it. As soon as I had turned 18, after months and months of preparations, i set out on my own.
It's just a waiting game. But, If you feel as though your abuse is too much to handle, I strongly suggest contacting higher authorities, like child protection and what not.. I know people say sometimes it only makes things worse, but if there are truly awful things happening, they will take care of it.
Otherwise, all I can do is wish you luck. Try and surround yourself with caring people that will make dealing with your parents more tolerable.
Stay strong, you got this!
