"Pulling" Someone

I don’t get it. Is dating to some people supposed to be a game or something? Why do people say they “pulled” a girlfriend/boyfriend. If someone had the golly gee nerve to say they “pulled” me, I’d push back. Pulling someone just sounds like you’re fishing and looking for the biggest best catch. It sounds so cheap and gross in my opinion. I can’t be the only one that feels that way.

my brothers team always say they keep “pulling” new girls, its really annoying but i cant stop them cuz their all in gangs and know where i live
